We are a group of students who are passionate about driving change and encouraging women to pursue careers in STEM. We believe in the power of community in creating a supporting environment for those who are interested to pursue a career in technology.

To promote diversity and equality, help women to develop professionally by exposing them to opportunities, and introducing opportunities in the tech industry to people from non technical background.
Many students in NTU who aren’t majoring in computer science, feel the gap of jumping into the tech industry. As many of you would have noticed, several big companies and even mentorship programs by various organisations around the world are trying to support women to pursue tech roles by starting the Women in Tech initiative. However, we noticed the lack of student-initiated clubs focusing on this vision and goal. Hence, we decided to create NTU Women In Tech. We want a platform where our fellow female peers, who are passionate in tech and want to get into tech regardless of their major, get the opportunities, and also get to connect with likeminded students, hence forging a collaborative environment of sharing and learning.
On 10th September 2019, we met a group of passionate individuals who were curious to our cause. We spent a wonderful evening sharing about our personal experiences and supported each other. The session further strengthened our resolve to bring this community up and about.
On 31st October 2019, we had our first launch event at Google Developer Space, Singapore where our co-founders introduced the club and explained why is there a need for this club.
